Resources for being Home@Mass
This Sunday marks the first time in my adult life, that I can recall, of not being able to gather with fellow Catholics to worship God in church at Holy Mass. I guess for many of you, this is the same experience. My heart is so sad but at the same time I understand the necessity of working together as a society to slow the spread of COVID-19. Even though I can't go to church for Holy Mass, I will be joining with the Church throughout the world in prayer, and I invite you to do the same.
Assumption Live Stream is a great resource to help us during the next few weeks. ALL regularly scheduled Masses - Sundays and weekdays, are broadcast and posted for viewing later. You can watch at
or subscribe to the AssumptionLive YouTube channel to watch via YouTube. Or maybe you have found another parish's livestream that you enjoy. Share that on our Facebook page, too.
Gather the family near your prayer space, open the computer or connect to your TV, and participate in the Mass from home. And enjoy it, because the couch is way more comfortable than a wooden pew!
To encourage other families, please post a photo of your family praying together on our Faith in the Home Facebook page!
We also have a Livestreamed Rosary at Noon on weekdays and Stations of the Cross at 2:15 or 7 PM on Fridays.
Many publishing companies are helping us out during the coronavirus crisis. This is one resource that might help younger children engage in the Mass, and it's free to login. It has all the pieces you need to lead a Children's Liturgy of the Word from the computer. Even includes jobs older children can do. Click the green button and use the following Login Information.
